Program Coordinator, Research Data Management

University Library, Perth Campus (Bentley, WA)

Fixed term (6 months), part time (0.6FTE)

$92,457 to $99,271 (G07) plus 17% Superannuation

Join Curtin University Library as program lead for the Research Data Champions Program and as strategic lead for the Library’s research data management service.

As lead for the Research Data Champions Program, you will engage with faculty staff and coordinate, design and deliver program sessions, in order to build a collaborative and diverse community of practice. As lead for the research data management service, you will create and deliver bespoke training, respond to researcher queries, and undertake advocacy relating to research data management and open research by liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

The successful applicant will have knowledge of good research data management practice, including knowledge of data management planning and the FAIR data principles. A library qualification is an optional requirement for this role.

About Us

As Program Coordinator you will be working in the Research and Copyright team in Curtin University Library. The team provides a diverse range of services to researchers, including research data management, metrics and identifiers, scholarly publishing, copyright, and writing support for research students. The team works collaboratively with faculties, schools, and areas within the University, as well as liaising with a range of external networks to support researchers. The Program Coordinator role is an exciting opportunity to advocate for good practice in research data management.

Your new role

  • Be responsible for the delivery of the Research Data Champions Program.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure the research data management service is meeting their requirements.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to researchers in the area of research data management.
  • Review the effectiveness of the service, including obtaining feedback and providing recommendations on the strategic direction of the service.

Work Requirements
