Hi All

The City of Wanneroo currently has advertised for a Team Leader Library Services (previously Branch Librarian role) at our Clarkson Library.

We are looking for a reliable and energetic individual with great communication skills who has a passion for community development, customer service and library services.

Reporting to the Coordinator Library Services, the position will help drive excellence in the delivery of library services, developing partnerships, programs and strategies to enable social connection and community capacity. This senior leadership role, strategically guided by the Manager Cultural Development, is responsible for managing the effective daily operations of the branch library.

This role has a strong focus on community development activities, in addition to the responsibility of managing the library staff delivering and providing customer service.  It is also responsible for:

• Daily operations of a library branch including supervising, training, and scheduling staff, providing information and services, and modelling customer service;
• Meet the current and future community needs through a focused and effectively targeted, localised community service;
• Provide a high quality community and customer focused service;
• Ensure that all staff are providing exemplary service to patrons;
• Develop and implement strategic partnerships and programs; coordinating activities with colleagues, City services and localised community neighbourhood initiatives.
• Conduct staff performance reviews in a fair and equitable manner; and
• Leading the delivery of services within libraries while maintaining an attractive branch including collection, displays and building.
