The NSW Government is helping eligible NSW customers pay their electricity and gas bills with a range of rebates and concessions.

Find out if you’re eligible and apply today.

Better hurry – the 2021/22 rebates and concessions expire at 11pm on 30 June 2022.

Free flu vaccinations

From 1 to 30 June, all NSW residents can get a free flu shot at:

  • GPs (ages 6 months+)
  • Pharmacies (ages 5 yrs+)

Flu is a serious illness. Strengthen your immunity this winter – don’t delay, get your flu shot today.

plastic shopping bags banned. Paper bags allowed.

Lightweight plastic bags banned from 1 June

Remember to bring reusable bags with you when you do your shopping as single use plastic bags are no longer available.

However, the ban doesn’t apply to barrier bags such as:

  • produce bags and deli bags
  • bin liners
  • human or animal waste bags
  • bags used to contain items for medical purposes.

Further bans to single use plastics will come into effect 1 November.
