An opportunity exists to join our growing Marketing and Communications team in the role of a Marketing and Communications Officer. You will work collaboratively and proactively to provide support to the Executive Manager of Communications & Marketing and the Marketing and Communications Advisor. You will enthusiastically undertake a wide variety of marketing tasks including; in-house design for various publications, providing creative support, updating website content, coordinating the communication and distribution of Junction publications.
Harnessing your experience in web publishing and designing content for social media, you will craft engaging and targeted communication to promote Junction’s brand. Your confident and articulate communication style will allow you to constructively liaise with stakeholders, upholding diplomacy and confidentiality. We’re seeking an energetic, warm and engaging marketing professional who is tech-savvy, professional and capable of making an impact from day one. You are a quick learner and have a can-do attitude with the ability to multitask. In return, you will benefit from coaching to enhance your capabilities across the communications and engagement suite.
Our Ideal Candidate:
We are seeking a highly driven person who:
- Possesses technical nous, intermediate level computer literacy as well as experience with Campaign Monitor, MailChimp (or similar product)
- Intermediate skills using the Adobe Suite (specifically Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator)
- Strong web publishing knowledge, skills and experience (experience using WordPress is favourable)
- Recent and demonstrated experience managing and developing content for and monitoring social media accounts for a like-size organisation
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent in Marketing, Public Relations, Media or a related discipline with demonstrated skill in graphic design
- Industry understanding of media operation and liaison principles is beneficial
