Subject: National Reconciliation Week – Events

Good morning everyone,

Hope this message finds you well.

National Reconciliation Week activities continue throughout this week until 3rd June 2022.

The Moreton Bay Library team have organised some wonderful events during the celebration and the month of June. Please find information as follows;

  • Poems for Reconciliation – Fri 3 Jun – North Lakes Library. This is the one that came out of last year’s Sea of Hands and will have Ellen van Neerven, Songwoman Maroochy, catering by 3 Little Birds, Angela Peita (performance poet) and a group of local amateur poets mentored by Ellen and Angela who’ve developed poems on the theme of reconciliation. It should be a good night.

  • Meet the Author: Sean Jacobs – Fri 24 Jun – Redcliffe Library. This is an in-conversation between Sean and former Senator Jo Lindgren about Sean’s biography of Neville Bonner.

Find more information and ways to get involved, visit the Moreton Bay Regional Council’s webpage Indigenous services – Moreton Bay Regional Council.

Regards
