Bi-annual Community Grants − projects commencing 1 May 2022 – Key Grants contact: Sharon Oliva

  • Community Activities Grants up to $10,000 to deliver self-sustainable local community, cultural, sporting and environmental activities in the Moreton Region
  • Community Facilities Grants up to $20,000 to develop new or improve existing facilities in the Moreton Bay Region

  • Loans are available to community organisations to develop new or to improve existing community facilities in the Moreton Bay Region

The Regional Economic Development Grant – projects commencing 1 May 2022 – Key Grants contact: Sam Neil

This program provides funding of up to $10,000 to support community organisations in the development and implementation of initiatives that advance the Moreton Bay regional economy and align with the four pillars of the Moreton Bay Regional Economic Development Strategy including:

  • Leadership and Identity  
  • Industry Advancement 
  • Trade and Investment  
  • Knowledge, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship

Regional Arts Development Fund – projects commencing 1 May 2022 – Key Grants contact: Nicole Schellback

  • This Grant provides funding to individuals and community organisations for projects that promote and develop arts, culture and heritage in the region.  
  • RADF is a partnership between the Queensland Government and Moreton Bay Regional Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.

Other Council Grants

 Local Community Support Grants – Key Grants contact: Sam Neil (open throughout the year)

  • Council’s Local Community Support Grant is open for applications, with the next round closing on 30 April 2022 (for projects commencing 1 June 2022).
  • Eligible community organisations can apply for funding to support local community, cultural, sporting and environmental projects that will benefit the Moreton Bay region.
  • Applicants will be notified of the outcome within 10 business days of the closing date.

Discretionary Funds – Key Grants contact: Sonia Wright  (open throughout the year)

  • Funding of up to $2,000 in a financial year per organisation for projects approved by councillors.

Individual Achievement Grant  – Key Grants contact: Sharon Oliva (open throughout the year)

  • For young people (25yrs or younger) who have been selected to represent Queensland or Australia in an area of interest (sport, recreation, academic and more).

Annual Celebrations – Key Grants contact: Sharon Oliva

  • Youth Week Grant 2022  – Funding up to $1,000 is available for community groups to deliver activities that celebrate Youth Week  ( 1 to 11 April 2022). Applications close 27 Feb 2022.
