As 2021 comes to an end, I wanted to thank you for your support throughout an undoubtedly big year for Multhana.
From commencing major infrastructure contracts to being recognised as finalists in eight awards, and appearing on Channel 7 (twice!), Multhana certainly hit many new milestones in 2021.
Most rewarding of all, we are proudly finishing the year with over 200 people employed at Multhana, in cleaning, landscaping, health and safety, administration, finance, IT, and management roles. Our average Indigenous workforce rate for the year was 26%, and reached as high as 58% in some months.

Major infrastructure projects commenced
Our landscaping division commenced their first major infrastructure project with the Department of Transport and Main Roads and ACCIONA – Contract 1 of the Bruce Highway upgrade (Caboolture-Bribie Island Road to Steve Irwin Way – Exit 162).
Joining the project for Contract 2 was Multhana’s cleaning division, who were awarded the cleaning package with Fulton Hogan. The division also commenced cleaning for Gold Coast Light Rail Stage 3 Early Works with John Holland.

Taking action on reconciliation together
I had the opportunity to address Brisbane City Council about reconciliation and the positive outcomes Multhana are creating with Council, as well as meet the RAP (reconciliation action plan) working groups of Multhana’s clients to support reconciliation efforts in their organisations.
