An exciting opportunity for those looking to be part of the Contact Centres Social Media and Correspondence team.

As a Social Media and Correspondence Officer in the Contact Centre you will be responsible for managing incoming requests from customers and also monitoring Brisbane City Councils social media.

Our attentive, friendly, and multi-skilled team will ensure you are well supported with one-on-one support with other experienced officers and allow you to get a broad understanding of the online enquiries’ customers submit to council.  

You will gain experience in using Council’s correspondence system, CMX, and front-end system OPTIMISE while logging jobs to other work units, generating acknowledgment replies and having an opportunity to draft simple letters.

The role of the Social Media and Correspondence Officer is to:

·         Manage incoming requests to the OPTIMISE email queue

·         Using Council’s Contact Centre systems and processes

·         Prepare acknowledgment emails and simple and correspondence responses

·         Monitoring of Councils Social Media platforms

·         Any ad-hoc administration duties as required

You will quickly see your experience and knowledge of Council grow as you are involved in a wide variety of scenarios and their resolution.

To be successful in this position you will need:

·         Excellent customer focus and be capable of managing sensitive and confidential issues

·         Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution and negotiation skills and the ability to communicate with a range of high level internal and external stakeholders

·         Strong attention to detail

·         Organisational and time management skills to effectively prioritise

·         Ability to contribute to team direction, give and receive feedback and achieve agreed performance standards in order to contribute to a culture of performance excellence

·         Available to work 7 days a week from 6:30am – 10:30pm

Desirable:

·         Experience in Correspondence Management System (CMX) and/or Optimise.

To be eligible to apply you must meet the following criteria: For salaried roles, applications can be accepted from: permanent employees; temporary employees who have been employed for a minimum of six months; people employed as temporary employees through a Community Jobs Program/Work Placement; casual employees who have had the equivalent of six months full-time employment; and external applicants for internally advertised Band 2 to 4 vacancies from the Indigenous communities and the Disability Community Network (Equity and Diversity Networks). Labour hire (agency contractors) are not eligible to apply for TV6 roles.
