Solution Centre Consultant – Green Square

With Brisbane City Council being the largest local government in Australia, the Solution Centre team provide essential business support right across Brisbane City Council’s operations and divisions. This high-profile team within the Organisational Services division is seeking a customer service professional  to join the team  on a temporary full-time basis.

Key to success in this role is experience in a high-volume, business critical and customer-focused role. The Solution Centre provides support to the organisation with Human Resources policy, Procurement, Payroll, Assets and Works Management and Recruitment.  The role also requires a demonstrated ability to determine the scope of customer queries and to access the right information to remedy or escalate issues as necessary.

We are seeking an individual with an analytical and supportive  communication style with the key attributes of empathy, personal resilience and attention to detail. Furthermore, experience in the Genesys and SAP platforms will be highly regarded.

Key focus areas include:

·         first-contact customer service and follow-up support to Council employees using SAP and related systems

·         issue management, knowledge sharing and trend analysis to stay informed

·         maintaining confidentiality and the integrity of sensitive and critical information and systems.

Essential selection criteria include:

·         experience in a high volume customer service environment including conflict resolution; negotiation and problem solving skills to resolve complex and sensitive issues

·         demonstrated ability in maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information in a work environment

·         demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively with a range of customers and stakeholders

·         competent keyboard skills and ability to assimilate information quickly and record relevant facts.

The Solution Centre team is located at Green Square in Fortitude Valley, close to the Valley train station and buses and public car parks.  If successful, you will need to be available to work Monday to Friday on a rotational roster between the hours of 7am to 5pm with a 7.25 hour day as a minimum, with the opportunity to work a longer shift to accrue additional flex-time as agreed. A hybrid working arrangement will also be an available option after initial face to face training period.
