Subject: Cultural Sites Project
Good Morning
Are you please able to forward through the Interagency email list.
The Tamworth Local Aboriginal Land Council is currently engaging with our Community to identify what people feel is the cultural significance of the following sites:
- Borah Crossing, Manilla
- Barraba Common, Barraba
- Victoria Park Precinct, Tamworth
- Boundary Rock, Daruka
- Little Wave Rock, Moonbi/Moore Creek
- “Walaay Gayaa” Happy Camp, Bligh Street, North Tamworth
- The Peel River
We would love to hear your thoughts and stories about any of these sites and we have asked Amanda Gwalter (nee Faulkner) to put them together. Amanda is available to meet with you or given the current covid climate, communicate by email or social media.
Please contact Amanda on 0431 246 176 or by email (amanda@baxtergeo.com.au).
Kind Regards,
Lakeisha

I would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the Gamilaroi/Gomeroi/Kamilaroi nation and it’s people. I recognise their continuing connection to the land I work on and I pay my respects to Elders past and present, and also acknowledge the youth of whom will be our future leaders.
