ABC News has a fantastic opportunity to report on all things political from the very hub of the action. You will work along-side experienced and respected journalists, reporting on political stories that will interest and inform existing and new ABC audiences. The role will include;
- Producing cross platform political stories across a range of issues and events.
- Staying abreast of political processes and issues to report with confidence.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key Indigenous political figures and organisations to find and tell stories to engage all audiences.
About You
You are an experienced multiplatform reporter with a genuine interest in covering politics from the Parliament House Bureau. Your skills and experience will include;
- Strength to report across one or more platforms including digital, TV and radio (enthusiasm for learning new skills).
- Broadcast confidence will be highly regarded.
- Ability to demonstrate good editorial judgement and meet tight deadlines.
- Collaborative workstyle with an interest in learning and sharing knowledge and experience.
