FW: ( W.A. ) ILSC : Vacancy – Project Officer – Perth – Full Time Indigenous Identified Role

The Indigenous Land and Sea Corporation (ILSC) is a corporate Commonwealth entity established under the ATSI Act and subject to the PGPA Act. The ILSC assists Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to realise economic, social, cultural and environmental benefits that the ownership and management of land, water and water related rights can bring. The ILSC provides this assistance through the acquisition and management of rights and interests in land, salt water and fresh water country.
The ILSC is currently recruiting for a Project Officer to be located in Perth, WA
The Project Officer will assist the project team to identify, develop and implement projects that deliver economic, environmental, social or cultural benefits to Indigenous Australians.
This is an Indigenous Identified opportunity – open to Indigenous applicants only

Programming and Operations Lead – Library Services

About the role

The role reports to the Community Learning and Capacity Manager and will be responsible for providing oversight and coordination of library services and systems as part of a leadership team. You will have the opportunity to lead the development of the development and delivery of the City’s learning programs across the libraries, Canning River Eco-Education Centre and Hillview Intercultural Community Centre.

In this role, you will undertake duties such as:

·                     Leading and developing strategic projects

·                     Building cooperative relationships and strategic partnerships

·                     Assist with the implementation of community engagement

Skills & Experience

·                     Tertiary qualification or equivalent extensive relevant experience

·                     Knowledge of community engagement and development principles

·                     Experience delivering community learning programs

·                     Experience in operational oversight of public library environment

·                     Leadership skills to motivate and support a high performing team
