TV6 – BILLING AND COLLECTIONS OFFICER – BAND 4 (628945)

Our team, Revenue Management is responsible for the complete, timely and accurate billing and collection of Council’s revenues, namely rates, fees, and charges. We are a customer focussed team and particularly add value by cost-effectively billing and collecting the right amount from the right customer at the right time.
Based in Green Square, this role supports the Revenue Manager and Collections Team Leader with the effective recovery of Council revenue. In this role you will, as part of a team, be working closely with Rates Management and external providers to facilitate prompt recovery of Council revenue.
Responsibilities include:
· taking actions to liaise, negotiate and using your conflict resolution skills to ensure prompt payment of rate accounts, including instigation of legal action.
· Demonstrated ability to analyse and solve problems by working with corporate systems.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build trust relationships with a range of customers,
· Ability to manage the recovery of accounts in accordance with Relevant Acts, debt principals and Council’s terms and conditions.
