The Employee Services team, encompassing Recruitment, Talent Acquisition and Learning and Development is a dynamic, professional and fast paced work environment.    We are on an exciting journey of change and growth so your agile and positive approach to problem solving will see you succeed in this role.

Reporting to the Performance and Reporting Team Leader, the critical work that you do in this role will assist our team to confidently provide high quality data to our leaders across the organisation, which in turn allow them to make informed decisions.

 

Responsibilities

·         Working with data including producing reports, analysing trends and visualising data.

·         Responding to customer enquiries including systems support.

·         Process design, business improvement and implementation.

·         Contribute to governance and assurance activities.

 

The individual

·         Great interpersonal skills (tact, integrity, confidentiality, patience and ability to get on well with all levels of staff, team player).

·         Proactive, organised and efficient.

·         Able to keep calm under pressure and meet deadlines.

·         Flexibility to deal with changing priorities and tasks.

·         Discretion when exposed to confidential information.

·         Ability to pick up corporate systems quickly.

·         Ability to follow processes and procedures.

·         Professional attitude.

·         Self-sufficient, ability to work independent from instruction with a proactive approach.

·         Enthusiastic, reliable and keen team player.

·         Excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing.

·         Experienced user of the Microsoft Office suite (Word/Excel/Outlook/Teams etc.).

 

To be eligible to apply you must meet the below criteria.

For salaried and wages roles, applications for TV6 or temporary vacancies of up to 6 months can be accepted from:

·         permanent employees (excluding employees on probation)

·         temporary employees who have been employed for a minimum of six months

·         people employed as temporary employees through a Community Jobs Program/Work Placement

·         casual employees who have had the equivalent of 12 months full-time for salaried roles and 3 months equivalent for wages roles

·         agency contractors (i.e. labour hire) who have had the equivalent of 12 months full-time equivalent.

·         external applicants for internally advertised Band 2 to 4 vacancies from the Diversity and Inclusion network.

Our Branch – Development Services

Our branch is the destination for applications relating to development, including engineering and plumbing. We have an amazing team of dedicated, passionate and service focused professional people who have our residents, building construction industry and communities at the heart of what they do.  

As a regulator of Queensland Government Legislation, PSG is responsible for applying the Plumbing and Drainage Act 2018, Australian Standards and Plumbing Code of Australia requirements. PSG’s role is unique in that the operations are essentially defined and legislated by the Queensland Government.

PSG ensures quality, comprehensive, friendly and fair services are provided for the community’s plumbing and drainage needs. This is done by delivering outcomes that are within legislative timeframes and contribute to a safe and liveable Brisbane.

You’ll have the opportunity to apply your excellent customer service skills by engaging with key stakeholders to provide technical plumbing advice and work within a dynamic and enthusiastic team.  

Key responsibilities of the role include:

·         interpreting and applying relevant legislation, preparing correspondence, reviewing and assessing domestic plumbing applications and completing checks on commercial plumbing applications.  

·         providing high quality advice and direction to customers for routine technical plumbing services

·         liaising and negotiating with internal work units, technical officers and external organisations to process plumbing applications and resolve customer concerns

·         utilising electronic systems to review and assess domestic plumbing applications and provide high quality customer service

·         Executing financial transactions for the payment of associated plumbing services

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

·         sound working knowledge of DART and computer literacy

·         experience in interpreting and applying legislative principles pertinent to role requirements

·         experience in processing customer applications through excellent organisation and time management skills

·         eagerness to work amongst a team, contribute to its productivity and work independently when required

·         experience in providing high quality customer service to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships

·         exceptional communication skills, including the ability to negotiate, consult, coordinate and deliver business analysis and solutions

·         well-developed problem solving and analytical skills including the ability to identify trends in data and make recommendations for improvements to processes or services
