The City of Port Adelaide Enfield is proud to acknowledge and celebrate our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) people and their contribution to our community.
Each year Council seeks nominations from members of the community and community organisations for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Awards.
The Awards are presented at a special event hosted by Council and the Aboriginal Advisory Panel.
Categories for the Awards are:
- Elder of the Year
- Aunty Josie Agius Youth Achievement Award
- Person of the Year
- Sports Person of the Year
- Contribution to the Arts
- Educational Achievement
- Lifetime Achievement
- Recognition of an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Island group or organization
for its contribution to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander community
- Recognition of a non-Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person, group or organisation
for their contribution to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander community
The Awards will be presented at a special dinner event to be held during Nunga Week in November 2022
