ABC Entertainment & Specialist has an excellent opportunity to kick start your career in audio operations and technical production. We are looking for candidates with a genuine interest in radio and audio production. You’ll have the opportunity to expand your knowledge into technical and operational practice. You’ll learn to develop skills in audio storytelling and help set up live broadcasts in the studio and on location. No formal qualifications are necessary but a keen interest and some familiarity in working with audio is required. About the Role
ABC Entertainment & Specialist is seeking an Audio Engineer to record, mix and transmit audio content for Entertainment and Specialist programs on multiple platforms. This is a development position that features on-the-job training.
Reporting to the NSW Operations Coordinator, you will:
- Provide operational support for live to air studio-based transmission and pre-recorded programs, outside recordings and broadcasts and assist with other audio projects.
- Perform mixdown for studio and field produced content under limited direction.
- Operate a range of DAW platforms used in Audio Radio Operations.
- Manage routine audio operational and transmission problems.
About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic Audio Engineer with relevant experience and/or appropriate educational qualifications. Ideally, you will be bringing to this role:
- Familiarity with broadcast and/or recording technologies, systems and equipment and the ability to adapt to new technologies.
- Good interpersonal and negotiation skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong computer literacy skills
- Willingness to understand the aims and roles of the producer and other members of the production team and ability to make a creative contribution to programs.
