Afternoon All,
As most of you may know – I work for Tamworth Family Support Service as the community development worker, Fun Fact did you also know I am also the Chairperson or our Reconciliation working group?
Here at TFSS we are very passionate about Reconciliation and are always looking at ways to meet our deliverables set out by Reconciliation Australia. Our working group had an idea, not only do we want to make change with in our work place but we also want change with in our community and what better way than to empower and support community and bring together other RAP work groups.
We a putting a call out to all local organisations to see who has Reconciliation plans? And if those orgs want to join our consultation group?
A lot of our deliverables link back to partnerships and internal and external events, this may be difficult for some of our organisations. Our aim is to arrange get togethers / consultations where we can come together and help each other and possibly from there create events.
Our first consultation will be held in February and we would like to invite a representative from your group (invitation attached). We would like to use this meeting as a meet and greet and have discussions on where each of us may sit with our plans. Reconciliation week is in May so if we can even look at an event even better, but let’s at least get a conversation going.
