Band 4 Program Coordinator
Brisbane City Council’s Connected Communities Branch provides active and healthy initiatives to help improve the wellbeing of Brisbane residents. The programs delivered include, Active Parks for all ages, Growing Older and Living Dangerously (GOLD) for seniors, GOLD ‘n’ Kids for seniors and young people and Chillout for young people aged up to 17 years.
The Program Coordinator is primarily responsible for assisting the Senior Program Coordinator in scheduling activities in the above programs across Council venues such as parks, pools and halls. In this role, you will develop, promote and monitor the delivery of all Active and Healthy programs by liaising with multiple stakeholders, such as providers, to achieve effective outcomes for Brisbane.
To be successful in this role you will have:
· the ability to make a positive contribution in the team environment
· experience in developing, delivering and evaluating community based active and healthy programs and projects
· experience in identifying community and social priorities, and developing responses to address these
· well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
· experience in project or program management including managing and monitoring contracts, budgets, timeframes and resources.
· possession of a current C class drivers licence
While not mandatory, tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and an understanding of working in a local government environment would be highly regarded for this role.
