SENIOR SUPPORT OFFICER (600461) ß Apply via email

Are you a great communicator with a positive can-do attitude? Do you want to work with a wide range of stakeholders and be part of a positive team culture? Public Space Operations has an opportunity for up to six months for a Senior Support Officer. We are looking for applicants with great communication and interpersonal skills, who are confident in engaging with internal and external stakeholders. The duration will initially be for three months, with a potential extension up to six months.

In this role, you are critical in supporting the Branch Manager and members of the team to achieve their business objectives as well as engaging with branch stakeholders and customers to ensure the professionalism and excellence of the branch is optimised.

To be successful you will need:

·         Demonstrated ability to provide a wide range of high quality administrative and business support services including financial and secretarial support activities

·         Substantial experience in using word processing, presentation and project software packages, including Microsoft Word and Excel

·         Well-developed communications skills, both written and oral, together with sound interpersonal skills and ability to effectively liaise with internal and external customers at all levels

·         Demonstrated experience working independently and in a team environment and ability to act as a leader of teams working on administrative projects

·         Demonstrated high level organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage complex and competing priorities to achieve tight deadlines and set outcomes

·         Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills including the ability to recognise trends in data and opportunities for improvements to systems or processes

·         The role will be based from the Regional Operations Centre, 20 Trade Coast Drive, Eagle Farm with plenty of parking available

To be eligible to apply you must meet the following criteria: For salaried roles, applications can be accepted from: permanent employees; temporary employees who have been employed for a minimum of six months; people employed as temporary employees through a Community Jobs Program/Work Placement; casual employees who have had the equivalent of six months full-time employment; and external applicants for internally advertised Band 2 to 4 vacancies from the Indigenous communities and the Disability Community Network (Equity and Diversity Networks). Labour hire (agency contractors) are not eligible to apply for TV6 roles.
