ABOUT COMMUNITY CENTRES SA
Community Centres SA is a values based “For Purpose” peak body for 103 Community and Neighbourhood Centres located across metropolitan Adelaide and regional South Australia and over 50 allied organisations who share our ethos. 35,000+ community members come to our Centres each week to connect up with others and participate in diverse programs that support their wellbeing. We are a passionate team of 14 staff who think outside the box, and we report directly to a Board. For nearly 40 years we have been a catalyst for best practice community development, working in advocacy and capacity building across community’s “wicked problems” like loneliness, poverty, illiteracy, unemployment and racism. Community education is at the heart of our work, occurring face to face and online.
