Planner Scheduler

Are you looking to work as part of a small team where the primary purpose is to plan Council’s fleet and minor plant maintenance and repairs. Do you have the ability to identify and implement efficiences to the planning, repairs and services within the fleet.

Fleet Solutions currently has a vacancy for a dedicated and experienced Planner Scheduler to work out of our modern Wacol office. 

Fleet Solutions keeps Council’s 4200 strong fleet on the road and the rest of our extremely varied assets in working order – a range of cars, trucks, trailers, boats, excavators, road sweepers, ​forklifts, buggies, mobile lunchrooms, pumps, ​generators, chainsaws, blowers, whipper snippers, mowers and multiple other items, all of which make up our fleet. The Planner Scheduler will assist with coordinating the planning and scheduling of the reactive and proactive maintenance of Council’s fleet and plant assets.

 

You will:

  • support buisness delivery officers in the planning and scheduling of works
  • work in partnership with the senior planner scheduler
  • contribute to the continuous improvement of the Fleet Services Workplace Health and Safety Management System.
  • maintain reports and implement solutions to optimise efficiencies. 

 

To be successful you will need to have:

  • excellent customer service skills
  • have the ability to work effectively and contribute in a team environment
  • experience in the fleet maintenance industry
  • excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to provide advice and coach staff.

The Community Halls team manage the operations and management of hireable spaces in community facilities across the city. The community hall facilities are an affordable and accessible portfolio provided in 29 locations across Brisbane.

We have an upcoming short-term vacancy for a Bookings and Operations Officer within the Community Halls team based at Green Square starting from the 13 June 2022.

You will be responsible for liaising with existing and prospective customers booking various events at Council managed suburban community hall facilities. This role is responsible for maintaining and developing customer contact in order to generate event revenue, secure hirers and coordinate and manage event bookings.

 

To be successful in this role you will have:

·         Demonstrated coordination experience in working with individuals, community groups and corporate organisations

·         Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skill

·         Demonstrated computer knowledge of an event management system

·         Ability to apply financial principles and processes within a customer service environment

·         Strong attention to detail

Bus Assistant (Shift) 3 x Positions

Do you thrive in blue collar, operational environments? Do you have a ‘can do’ attitude with the ability to provide general bus maintenance services to Brisbane City Council buses?

If so, we have an opportunity for you at our Toowong and Willawong depot.

Transport for Brisbane operates from seven bus depots across the greater Brisbane metropolitan area and this position is available at the above depot locations.

Each depot has a Garage Services Team that provides mechanical and non-mechanical bus maintenance to ensure the bus fleet is maintained to a high standard to meet public safety requirements and keep buses on the road.

As a Bus Assistant (Shift), you would be providing general bus maintenance services to ensure that we continue to have safe, clean, reliable buses that operate in an efficient and cost-effective manner. This is a busy role which would see you looking after the following:

·         refuelling vehicles

·         grease and oil changes

·         data entry and recording of fuel and oil quantities

·         general cleaning and steam cleaning of buses and depot vehicles

·         removing, replacing, repairing, sending tyres for re-treading

·         minor body and electrical repairs

·         moving vehicles both in the depot and on-road

·         availability to work hours from approx. 5:30 pm– 2.00 am, Monday to Friday, with opportunity of overtime on Sundays.

As you will be working largely unsupervised, you MUST HAVE the following skills and experience:

·         experience in performing basic routine vehicle maintenance including tyres, oil and lubrication, fuelling, cleaning and maintaining the general condition of vehicles

·         sound knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety and Environmental Protection policies and procedures

·         strong track record of delivering quality work on time to tight deadlines

·         competent communication skills and the ability to develop good working relationships with staff and customers

·         basic computer literacy and competent keyboard skills

This role will require a Criminal History Check and current HR licence will be required prior to commencement.
