Good morning!

Moree Plains Shire Council are running a Youth Art Competition as part of Council’s review of the Moree Plains Community Strategic Plan. The Community Strategic Plan is an aspirational document that identifies the community’s goals and priorities for the next 10 years – It’s our Moree Plains, It’s our vision to 2032.

We wish to invite children and young people aged 16 and under to create a drawing that represents their vision for the Moree Plains for the next 10 years. Prizes for the winning entries will be a $150 Love Local gift card!

We have attached instructions, terms and conditions and templates for the artwork to this email. We hope that you will support us by distributing the templates with instructions to students at your school.

These can also be accessed at our website: https://www.mpsc.nsw.gov.au/about-us/our-moree-plains-2032

How can the kids enter?

There are different ways for entries to be submitted by the school or individuals including email, posting using the downloadable Moree Council Reply-Paid sticker, or dropping off artwork in person at one of the Council offices in Moree and Mungindi. Alternatively, if your school has a large volume of entries, we may be able to arrange pick-up during the first week of March 2022.

Entries close 7 March 2022, with the winners judged by age category by the Moree Plains Mayor by 14 March 2022.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Victoria Dawson, Integrated Planning & Reporting Coordinator, on 0437 785 786 or email victoria.dawson@mpsc.nsw.gov.au

Thanks

Victoria
