Now is the time to consider this unique and progressive project coordinator role where you will be critical to the Day 1 success of Brisbane Metro operations. This is a highly valued, impactful role, working on one of the city’s largest and most exciting projects – The Brisbane Metro.

As a Project Coordinator – Metro Readiness, you will bring:

·         Organisational skills and the ability to support executive management and divisional obligations in coordinating work packages and scheduling actions. 

·         Interpersonal skills, written and verbal

·         Experience in working collaboratively and managing diverse stakeholder relationships

·         Ability to access, and manage information in Council’s administrative systems

·         Experience in producing a range of written and graphic material including reports, submissions and presentations.

Our Purpose:

We have a culture based on positivity, professionalism and performance and are seeking a Project Coordinator who will be able to launch into this role from day one, with inaugurate qualities to enhance our Future Transport Readiness team. Transport for Brisbane (TfB) operates one of Australia’s largest public transport enterprises to meet the needs of Brisbane’s public, as well as visitors to our city. We have a fleet of more than 1,250 buses, 23 CityCats and 5 KittyCats, as well as eScooters, helping facilitate around 238,000 journeys for residents and visitors to Brisbane every weekday. Additionally, we will also be the operator for Brisbane Metro services – Brisbane’s city shaping transport network project, which is where this amazing opportunity lies.

How did the role become available?

The position resides within the Future Transport Readiness Branch and provides you with an opportunity like no other, coordinating business activities and supporting the delivery of key operational readiness tasks across the division for the successful delivery of the Brisbane Metro.

What can I expect from my leader?

You will have proactive connectivity, and robust assistance in building strong working relationships across Council whilst working closely with stakeholders. Your leader displays recognition of achievements and provides continuous support for quality conversations with your team and clients.  Working with our changing environment, your leader will help you maintain delivery whilst driving our value-based service culture, assisting the team, end user goal setting and impactful project delivery.

What’s my purpose?

Supporting Transport for Brisbane in the management of administrative, business and change processes. You will provide high quality and timely support services to executive management and the Future Transport Readiness Branch and provide personal assistant capacity for the Divisional Manager Team. The project coordinator plays a key role in supporting Transport for Brisbane’s operational readiness for day 1 of Brisbane Metro Operations.

Contracts Management is seeking multiple Contracts Technical Officers for a period of up to 6 months.

The primary purpose of this role is to assist the Contracts Coordinator, monitor and conduct compliance inspections of contractors as required, update computer-based asset registers and contract schedules, monitor contractor delivery progress against expectations, check contractor invoices and recommend payment for work completed. The role is also responsible for the collation of compliance data to support Branch KPIs and reporting.

Key accountabilities:

·         Lead and role model customer focused behaviour by treating all internal and external customers with honesty, fairness, sensitivity and dignity.

·         Work in partnership with your team leader to agreed performance standards and mutual expectations.  Give and receive regular feedback to enable performance to be improved and take personal responsibility for optimising your potential within Council.

·         Monitor, allocate and conduct inspections as required, including safety observations and quality audits and compile/reconcile auditable records and reports

·         Support the Contracts Coordinator by assisting with the provision of accurate calculations of completed works to allow timely and appropriate payments to be made to service providers in accordance with contract requirements or Service Level Agreements. Assist in ensuring schedules of work and scope of works are accurately maintained and additions/deletions are current.

·         Provide timely and accurate reports to the Contracts Coordinator on budget expenditure, program progress and key performance indicators.

·         Assist in best practice and effective delivery of service contracts.

·         Record information and prepare and produce high level written documentation relating to contract services and internal providers in accordance with Branch standards.

·         Operate computer software packages including Word, Excel and corporate systems including SAP and ArcGIS, to update work schedules and maps and to obtain relevant data, produce high quality reports and presentation materials.
